Hello everyone, and welcome back to Tuesday Talks With Titus! For those of you who may be new, I am Titus! Thank you for tuning in! Today, we are talking about the downfall or "war" of morals.
First off, there are 2 different types of morals, so to specify, this is the definition of the type of morals we will be talking about: "a person's standards of behavior or beliefs concerning what is and is not acceptable for them to do." Even more specifically, "biblical morals" is the focus today.
everyday people will abandon morals at one point or another...all you have to do is look at America to know that! Where should Christ followers find morals? It's a fairly easy answer, The Bible! To be clear I am not talking about personal convictions, I am talking about Biblical convictions.
Galatians 5:19-21 says, "Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." Now, these are only some of the command/morals we are to follow, but it does show us that there are morals we should live by. I have said this before but I want to be clear: When you are saved no one can take you from The Father's hand! (see John 10:28-29.) so when it says "those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.", It's really talking about those who are unrepentant of those sins. Now, when we as Christians talk about morals (Specifically sexual or stances on abortion,) people will be quick to say "God says we should love not hate!" Listen, when I hear that I always say, "Yes God did say that! But I personally believe that I am not showing any type of love when I let you walk directly off a cliff!" The same goes with not saying That things like the LGBTQIA+ agenda Is wrong, Or saying that abortion is wrong, or premarital sex, or using foul words, or using God's name in vain, ect. The point is when me and you don't stand up for morals, we are letting people walk away from them...and God! Christians please don't forget how to tell people the truth, God says speak the truth in love! (Ephesians 4:15) make sure not to forget that in you encounters.
This country is losing morals as we speak. What is wrong is somehow now right, and what is right is now hate! How did we get here? well 1 Corinthians 15:33-34 answers that pretty well, "Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame." This one is going to be tough to swallow... The acquaintances we chose to be with will have an affect of our morals, whether good or bad. Your parents have probably told you at some point in your life "Be careful who you hang out with." well that is because peer-pressure is real! if you are with a group of friends and they all say "let's try to steal one thing without being caught!" If everyone agrees to do it, chances are, you will want to as well, even if your judgment is really good. This verse is telling us to be careful who you surround yourself with. Friends are great to have but it's better to make sure the friends you hangout with have good christian morals, that way, if a bad situation comes you can tell your friends, "Guys, God tells us we should not do this. Is it all that great to sin for a laugh?" The next verse is a call to wake up and quit sinning like those who don't know Christ! I love, love, LOVE when the bible reminds us to wake up! it makes me think of when I am woken up for church. Someone tells me it's time for church but then I turn over and all of the sudden I fall back to sleep. That's not what God means when he says wake up. To me, it feels like a bucket of cold water! He's not saying you can get up now, He's commanding us to wake up! We, as Christians are supposed to be different. We are supposed to be a picture of freedom from sin! God has had and always will be the life over death! Listen, Again I am challenging y'all at the same time as myself. Christians, Let's do this! Let's show others why there is hope! A Christian who has no morals is still dead. A Christian who has morals but does not live by all of them can do better (again, talking to myself here)! Jesus paid the price for our sins even though we mess up!
Christians, we have work to do. Let's show this world just how far love goes!

Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome back to Tuesday Talks with Titus. Okay, first off, I want to say you're probably going to hear maybe a little bit of echo because this is my first time recording in our new house. We just moved to a new location in our area. But it just may be echo y. I'm not in my new setup yet.
So, I want to get there eventually, but right now, this is what we've got. But I really wanted to get this month's episode out because, for one, I have a lot going on, so I need to focus on a couple of other things. And for two, I also just, I think this is an important message that we need to get across. I also want to say, I'm sorry for not being able to have a YouTube video.
I just, again, a lot of things going on. But, You know what? We can't control everything. Thankfully, we're here. Thankfully, we're ready to record. And so, yeah. Today, we are talking about the downfall or war on morals. First off, there are two different types of morals. So, to specify, This is the definition of the type of morals that we will be talking about today.
A person's standards of behavior or beliefs concerning what is and is not acceptable for them to do. Even more specifically, biblical morals is the focus today. Every day that we see the world, we probably will see at least one moral abandoned. And I believe that... No matter how good of a person you are, you've probably sinned.
I'll go off on a limb and even say today. So, first off, there are two different types of morals. Every day, people will abandon morals at one point or another. Again, like I said. You probably have already even today and all you have to do is look at America to know that we abandon morals. Look at yourself just to know that we abandon morals.
Where should Christ followers find their morals? It's a fairly easy answer for most. The Bible. So, to be clear, I'm not talking about personal convictions. I am talking about biblical convictions. Because I know a lot of people have convictions that... And I even have some personal convictions. I won't I won't share them again because they're personal but just convictions that I get out that god would not be okay with but i'm not saying that everybody has to agree with me So today we're talking about biblical convictions, which is Absolute what the Bible already says and what it commands us to do.
And it's not just a personal belief. It is what the Bible says, and it's what Christians should be doing, regardless of whether they believe what the Bible says or not. And every Christian should. Galatians 5, 19 through 21 says, Now the works of the flesh are evident sexual immorality, impurity. Sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these.
I warn you, as I warned you before. That those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Now, these are only some of the commands or morals that we are to follow, but it does show us that there are morals that we as Christians should live by. I've said this before, but I want to be clear.
When you are saved, No one can take you from the father's hand see John 10 28 through 29 and many other verses to prove that if you have any questions on that again, shoot me a message if you ever have questions, just shoot me a message. So when it says those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
It's really talking about those who are unrepentant of those sins. Now, when Christians talk about morals, specifically sexual stances, sexual or stances on abortion, people will be quick to say, God says you should love, not hate. Listen, when I hear that, I always say in my head, and sometimes out loud, Yes, God did say that!
I personally believe that I am You know what? I have to say that I biblically believe that if I'm not showing you any type of love, when I let you walk directly off a cliff. To be a little bit yeah, but I just, I want to say that I believe that biblically, because I believe that we can't just tell people, oh yeah, we can't just tell them what they want to hear, you know, we can't just continue to say, hey, you know, you're, you're fine.
We can't just stand by and watch those people walk off a cliff and continue in, in that sin. Because we need to call them out. Hey, God says not to do that. Whether you're a Christian or not. And it's good for them to know what the morals are that God has set. There wouldn't be morals if there wasn't a God.
In my opinion, many won't believe that. But, because I believe in God, I believe that. The same goes with not saying things like... LGBTQIA or Agenda, is wrong, or saying that abortion is wrong, or premarital sex, or using foul words. Or using God's name in vain, or many, many, many others, and the point is that when you and me don't stand up for morals, we are letting people walk away from them.
And God! We need to be pointing people in that direction, towards God, instead of saying, Oh, you're good, you can keep on sinning, you're good. No, tell them that God says that's wrong, and God created the universe, and we should be listening to him. And so... The point I'm trying to get across is, Christians just Don't forget to how to tell people the truth.
Remember to speak it in love. Don't forget that because a lot of Christians do. God says to speak the truth in love. Ephesians 4 15 and many other places in the Bible. Make sure not to forget that in your encounters that you are speaking life, not hate. That you are speaking about what God told us in the Bible, but make sure you're saying that in love because It can get dangerous when you're not speaking it in love, it pushes people away.
I mean, I've talked to people. There was a person that I was talking to a couple months ago about Catholicism because he knew a lot about it. He was actually on his way to become a Catholic priest, I believe. But he was saying that there was a Protestant who was talking to him, but he was like, Saying like, you're, you're totally wrong.
He was in there trying to change his mind and when I talked to my friend who was Catholic I was talking to her and I was just asking her questions and sometimes that's a good point to point out what you believe and point out why you believe it. And I gave, I also gave her a verse, I believe from Ephesians.
I believe it was Ephesians 8. 10 or 10. 8. I'm not positive. My point is, if you don't speak the truth in love, you will push people away. Without a shadow of a doubt, you will push people away. I have to say, this country is losing morals as we speak. I mean, and not just this country. And I have to say this while we're talking about morals and what's wrong and what's right.
I believe that the attack on Israel was not right. All around the world, we're losing morals as we speak. I mean, I'm telling you right now that as we speak there's more than likely a child who could have been killed or an adult who was killed, someone who was killed. What is wrong is somehow now right.
And what is right is now hate. So when I say, listen, God says LGBTQIA plus stuff is wrong. God says abortion is wrong. God says the sex outside of marriage is wrong. God says... Looking with lust is wrong. God says this, this, this is wrong. People will see that as hate. And even if you're not speaking hateful, and if even if you're saying this is what God says, this is not just what I say.
This is what God says. People will still see that as hate, and we can't change what people see. But we can tell them the love of God, the best that we can. So how did we get here? Well, first Corinthians 15 33 to 34 answers that pretty well. Do not be deceived. Bad company ruins good morals. Wake up from your drunken stupor, as it is right.
And do not go on sinning, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame. It's kind of like saying, come on, shame on you. Like at the end of that, it says, I say this to your shame. Wake up! You need to wake up and get out of these bad friendships. This is one of this is gonna be a tough one to swallow.
But, the acquaintances we choose to be with will have an effect on our own morals. Whether good or bad, your parents have probably told you at some point in your life, be careful of who you hang out with. Because they can change, they can and will change how you view things. How you view right and wrong.
Well. That is because peer pressure is big time real. I haven't personally experienced any major peer pressure, but you know, it's out there and you have to be on the ready. I mean, if you are with a group of friends and they all say, Let's try to steal one thing without being caught. I mean, it's gonna be like a little fun thing, right?
No, it's, it's not. It's wrong. The Bible says not to steal. If everyone agrees to do it, chances are you're gonna want to, you're gonna be tempted to, and because you're surrounded by a whole bunch of people who, who will be like, come on you, you just, you're stealing a little, like 5 cent. Okay. Those don't exist.
No, you can't buy anything for 5 cents anymore, but it's just stealing like a 50 cent candy bar. Even that might, it might not exist, but it's just, you're going to lose that. You're gonna be like. Well, maybe it's okay just this once or maybe I'll pretend. I don't know. I'll just take it for one Well, just this once I mean this verse is really just telling us this verse is really just telling us To be careful with who you surround yourself with friends are great to have I mean i'm telling you right now if you don't have a great friend Then you need to go to a church.
I believe you can find a great friend at a church Try to make sure that the friends that you hang out or the friends that you surround yourself with The most have good Christian morals. That way, if a bad situation comes, you can tell your friends, guys, God tells us we should not do this. That doesn't mean peer pressure will be gone.
I mean, is it great to sin for just a laugh? You know, you can be that voice. You can be that voice that's just like guys, come on. We shouldn't do this. And maybe one or two of your friends will agree. And even if just one or two of your friends agrees, it encourages you. So, let's surround ourselves with more Christians.
That's why I, I cannot stress this enough. If you are not plugged into a church, please go find a local Bible believing church and just go to it. Just check it out. Check out how they're... How their songs go, check out how the preaching is. The most important thing is you are hearing the good news of God there, and you are hearing your encouragement, and you're being surrounded by fellow Christians.
That is the importance of church and your church family. And so you have to be at church to hang out, get some friends there. I mean, I believe that's the best way to get Christian friends at a church. This next verse, the next verse after the one that says, Bad company ruins good morals. The next little verse after that says, I just have to say, I love, love, love this so much.
This verse is a call up to wake up. And quit sinning like those quit sinning like those who don't know Christ. I love it. I just love it when the bible reminds us to wake up It makes me think of when I am woken up for church Someone tells me that it's time for church but then I turn over and all of a sudden I fall back to sleep and then Oh boy, it's a couple minutes later, and I should not have slept even longer.
But that's, that's not what God means when he says, Wake up. To me, it feels like a bucket of cold water. But, you know, that's what it makes me think of. You just wake up. You're awake. You're alive, alert, awake, because you just, you just got hit with the truth. Wake up. God is telling you to wake up. And, just, this is, this is something.
I want to be... Clear that I'm not just talking to you guys. I'm talking to myself There are some things that I need to wake up to personally. I need to wake up to get over personally. You do too I mean everybody every Christian has a struggle in their life that they need to get over and wake up from and Stop sinning like those who don't know Christ.
Stop sinning like those who don't have hope wake That's one of the biggest things I want you to remember. Wake up. We are supposed to be a picture of freedom from sin. God has had and always will be the life over death. God is hope. Jesus is the way to find a true identity. That's what we talked about with identity theft.
Christians, I want to say this to wrap up. We have work to do we need to show the world just how far loves go love goes We need to show them what christ did for us on the cross Thank you guys so much for listening. I want to thank you guys for listening and we will see you guys next time Goodbye
