Nothing But The Truth
Blog
Hello everyone, and welcome to Tuesday's Talks With Titus! What if I told you that many people don't believe in absolute truth? Maybe you are one of them. Well, today, we are going to see that there absolutely is! First, what exactly is absolute truth? While there was no dictionary definition of absolute truth that I could find, I decided to look up both words separately. First, the word absolute, according to Webster's Dictionary: is free from imperfection. Next is the word truth, according to Webster's dictionary: The body of real things, events, and facts. When you put the two together, you get The body of real things, events, and facts that are free from imperfection. Let's look at John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
In context, Jesus is talking to his disciples, specifically, Thomas, who asked how they would know the way to heaven. What makes Jesus' answer so incredible is that He not only said He is the way; He not only said He is the life; He said He is the truth. I'd like to emphasize The fact that He didn't only say He is a way, a truth, and a life; He said He is THE way, THE truth, and THE life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him!
This generation does not, for the most part, believe there is an absolute truth. Which Is why everything is now being questioned. Such as "Is it true I'm supposed to be my biological gender and not make changes to my body that will be irreversible?" At first glance, we are ready to tell this person that They are Crazy for even considering it, but then it goes back to the fact that this person may not believe in absolute truth. And, when we think that way, why not? Why can't we do whatever we want? In my mind, if there is no truth, there is no reason for morals!
That is why my generation is changing the way things roll in a negative way. We cannot expect to get biblical principles back into our country without taking my generation back to God! God is the only absolute truth and his words are the only truth that has existed and ever will exist in the word of God!
This brings us to the question, "How do we discern the truth?" John 8:31–32 says this, To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Jesus told us that when we hold to his teachings we will know the truth! where are his teachings? The Bible! God's word is the only truth that we can ever fully trust!
You might notice I use several verses throughout my podcast. That's because if I ever say something that contradicts what the Bible says, it is, without a shadow of a doubt, false! Yes, I do say other things than just Bible verses, but that's because I break down what the Bible says. I try my absolute best never to say something that is not at least based on something that the Bible already said!
Thank all of you so much for tuning in to this month's Tuesday Talks With Titus! We will see you next time!
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome back to Tuesday Talks with Titus. Um, first off, I have to say thank you guys so much for 100 followers. It is such a blessing and, uh, just keep the support coming because you guys are awesome. Um, so, one of the first things that we're gonna do, and I've never done this before, but, um, I've prerecorded a Man on the Street interview asking people, absolute truth, is it real?
So, is absolute truth real? So, let's cut to that, and, um, We'll just see what those opinions were. Do you believe that absolute truth is real, or can it be real? I believe it is real, absolutely. Absolute truth is real. Starts out as the absolute truth, but as it gets spread around from one person to another, it eventually does start to, you know, water down or build up to be something different.
But is there an absolute truth? I believe that, yes, there is. Yes. Depends on who's telling it. ha, right? I don't know, but I don't even know if we are real. Depending on the subject, absolutely. I believe it is, yes. Yes, I believe so. Um, I believe, uh, that absolute truth is found in God and Jesus Christ. Amen.
Yes, it is real. Okay. And so, where do you find your absolute truth? My absolute truth is with Jesus Christ. Uh, that's a good question. Um, I'd say absolute truth isn't real, if I'm answering the question correctly. I would say that because everything nowadays that's supposedly true, People either search up on the internet or we read about it, but how do we know that that's the absolute truth behind that?
That's a really debatable question. That's a really good question. I would say if, you know, there's. solid proof to back it up. And you know, there's fact it's factual based in fact, I would say then, yes, I would believe that that is true. The person I'm asking this to ask to be an ominous and we're totally okay with that.
All right. Absolute truth does exist. Absolute morality exists. Absolute ethics exist. The reason I know this is because of the belief structure that I subscribe to where I am taught that absolute truth exists. Absolute truth is. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, and nobody comes to the Father except through me.
Okay, so, that was awesome. I just, I, it was a little bit nerve wracking, but, you know, talking to all those people was just awesome, getting their opinions, and, all, like, all of those people were so sweet. Um, the one, one of the things that I really noticed was that there's a good amount of people Not a lot when I interviewed them, but there's a lot of people who would say absolute truth can't exist.
In fact, there was one person that I interviewed and there was a couple others that said that they're not even sure that we exist. And I can tell you right now that Um, I believe that we all exist, just based off the fact that I'm here, you're watching me through a video screen, I'm real, if you need to meet me in person to confirm that, that's fine, but I am real, I assure you that, and you are real, I assure you that, because God created you, and he didn't make anything fake.
Today, we are going to see that absolute, absolute truth is absolutely true, and absolutely does exist. First, what exactly is absolute truth. And I got this question a lot and I needed to explain it. Um, so one of my favorite ways to explain it is by saying that something that's absolutely true, true without a shadow of a doubt.
But, um, let's look at the dictionary definition of both absolute and truth. So I could not find a definition of absolute truth, um, as a So, I just went with searching both of the words separately. So, first off, Webster's Dictionary says that the word absolute is free from imperfection. So, there's no chance that it's not what absolutely it is.
Um, the next word is truth. Um, and according to Webster's Dictionary, The body of real events, real things, events, and facts. When you put together the two, you get the body of real things, events, and facts that are free from imperfection. So, I do have to tell you guys a little quick story, um, and, um, I am sure there, uh, first off I have to say, I am sure there are honest podcast promoters out there, but...
I just can't get on board with it, especially, um, when their name isn't exactly American, you know, if it's not exactly, like, from this country or, like, Pakistan, you know, it's normally gonna be a scam. So, be careful of those, but I did want to share this quick story with you. So, um, you guys know that Um, I have messages on Facebook, and if you ever have a question, please let me know.
Um, I am most of the time available. If I'm not, I will get back to you as soon as possible. And, um, so this person, this, uh, podcast promoter. I'm, I'm this guy, I am almost sure was a scammer. Um, so I'll say podcast promoter. But, um, he messaged me and he said that, um, he said that I could. Promote your podcast, whatever.
And I was just like, um, no, thank you. And then he said, um, Why? And I said, I would rather not. No, thank you. He said, why? And I said no. I just kept on going back and forth with them and essentially just saying no or no thanks. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. And, um, after this entire event, I was, I shared it on Facebook on my podcaster's group because it was hilarious to me and I was a little bit too tired to, to, uh, I didn't realize you could move them to spam and I've been doing that a lot more so, scammers beware, I move you to spam.
But, um, I just, This, um, particular man, I noticed a little while ago when I was checking some reviews, and I'd love to read a review, um, So, um, in my next podcast, I'll make sure I do that, because I've seen other podcasts do that, and I love that idea, to read a review. But this guy wasn't, this guy's review wasn't exactly some things I could say on my podcast, or...
Just as a person, um, but he just left a bad review, no good reason, he didn't even put a good reason, and at first I was like, freaked out, you know, just, oh no, I have, like, a one star review, and there was like one other, I think there was only one other review on Apple Podcasts, but I'm not sure, and if you haven't left a review, it would help me a ton if you could leave a review on whatever pod, forum you are listening on.
Just leave a like or subscribe, but I would like to like he left a one star review and I went through support Oh, that was annoying it took forever But I did eventually get that one star review removed But this whole story I should have pointed this out a minute ago But um this whole story has to do with truth I had to discern the truth in that moment.
I had to make sure that this guy was not a scammer or was a scammer. And I believed, because of the evidence he showed me, that he wouldn't take no for an answer. Well, some honest people can do that. I did not trust this guy. So I had to discern what was the truth. So when we talk about truth, let's look at, um, John 14 6.
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. I bet this is a verse that some of you thought of and there was tons of people who told me about this verse. Even when I was doing those interviews, I, I met a lot of Christians. I met a couple people who weren't Christians and that's all right.
Again, if you're listening, thank you again. I appreciate every interview that I did, but it was just. Awesome to see those answers. I just, I love that. And if I ever get the chance, I will try to do that again. But I have to say a lot of people were just, I think I even had one of those people. I'm sorry.
It's been a long day. If, um, if I don't remember, I'm sorry, but I think there was at least one person who said, Jesus says I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Jesus says I want to I want to emphasize I am the way the truth the truth and the life. So if you absolutely believe in God He says he's the truth.
So you can't exactly believe in God and Jesus without knowing that there is truth Because Jesus says he is the truth Um, and one of my favorite phrases I've seen before is, No Jesus, No Truth. That's spelt two different ways, though. It's K N O W, like, No, Jesus. Um, you'll know truth, but N O, Jesus, no Jesus, no truth.
Um, it's pretty blunt, but it's very true. Um, but in its context, Jesus was talking to his disciples, specifically Thomas, who asked how they would know the way to heaven. What makes Jesus answer so incredible is that he not only said he is the way, Again, I'm kind of repeating myself, but he not only said he is the life,
he said he is the truth, and it's amazing that he said that. He is, he's not just a truth, a way, a life. He is the way, the truth, the life. There is no one else who is the way, who is the truth, and who is the life. There is no one else. He's not just one of them. He is the absolute truth. And this generation does not, for the most part, believe there is an absolute truth.
And you even saw that in our interviews. But... It's why everything is being questioned, such as, Is it true I'm supposed to be my biological gender and not make changes to my body that are irreversible? Many people will not tell you that. Doctors will refuse to tell you that. If they're about to do a surgery on you, they might refuse to tell you that.
This is irreversible. You will never get to change that and Some doctors will some doctors won't but at the end of the day I'd like to point out the fact that when we don't have truth we question everything and No wonder if we don't know the truth. We're gonna walk around in fear. And so At first glance.
We're ready to tell that person that they're crazy for even considering transgender surgery or any other Any other process that would hurt them bad. But then it goes back to the fact that this person may not believe in absolute truth, may not believe in God, who is absolute truth. And when we think about it that way, why not?
Like what, why can't we do whatever we want? If, okay, I'm sorry this is going to sound blunt, if you are not a Christian, this might sound blunt, if you are a Christian, this might sound blunt, but I'm gonna come right out and say it. If there is no truth, there is no reason for morals. What basis do I have to not just run around and kill people for no reason?
That is why my generation is changing the way things roll in a negative way sometimes. And It's just not only my generation. It's been changing for years, but just this generation Is going crazy and, but I don't know, um, but it's just going the wrong way and we cannot expect to get biblical principles back into our country without taking my generation, our generation, this generation back to God.
We cannot get these morals back. I. I just, we have to start doing a little bit better. I mean, we are, I feel like we're failing this country right now. And we, we need, we as Christians just need to rise up. We as the church of God need to rise up. We need to all be working together. To help the America go back to Jesus, help the world go back to Jesus, we need to go into all the world and spread the gospel.
God is the only absolute truth, and his words are the only way that truth has existed and ever will. And I love hearing the words of God because you know how incredible the words of God are? You know how powerful those words are? The truth? You know what happens when God speaks? The whole world was built when just God spoke.
He told it to, and the whole universe was created. Just by words. Isn't that just incredible? So, this brings us to the question, How do we discern the truth? Um, like I said, it's hard. Um, with lies being all around. Um, so John 8 31 through 32 says this to the Jews who had believed in him. Jesus said, if you hold to my teachings, you are really my disciples.
Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Jesus told us that when we hold to his teachings, we will know the truth. Where are his teachings? The Bible. God's word is the only way that truth can ever exist. That we can ever fully trust that truth. That's the only truth we can ever trust.
And every other truth isn't real. So, a lot of people would ask, is 2 plus 2? Um, and, uh, and they would take my argument and say, Well, God didn't say anything about, um, God didn't say anything about math in the Bible. I would disagree with that because, um, God did multiply fish. It's kind of an interesting thing, fish and bread.
Um, and he did a lot of other incredible things. And I would say that's using math. Um, and so there's a lot of other things that God did. But you might notice I use several verses throughout my podcast. That is because, if I ever say anything that contradicts what the Bible says, it is without a shadow of a doubt, false.
Yes, I do say other things than just Bible verses, but that's because I try to break down what the Bible says. I try to make it a little bit easier to digest. That's, um, why podcast, and also because I use it as, A devotional for me for me to learn more about God and to help others learn more about God. I try my absolute Best to never say something that is not at least based on something that the Bible has already said so with that being said Um, if you would be willing to and if you found this episode biblical, um, if you could just leave a follow or Like or whatever I don't know where you're watching or listening from, but if you could leave a follow, that would be awesome on either Facebook, Instagram, or wherever you're watching or listening.
Um, and with that, I'd just like to say thank you so much for tuning in to this month's Tuesday Talks with Titus. I really hope you guys have a awesome month, and we'll see you next month. Psst, by the way, I meant tuning in.
