The Art Beyond the frame

Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Tuesday Talks with Titus! Today, we will be talking about The Art Beyond The Frame and looking into Job's story and more. First, let's read some verses: Job 2:1-6 says this:

"On another day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them to present himself before him.  And the Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.” Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.” “Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has for his own life. But now stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.” The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.” Also, Job 2:9–10 says this: "His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!” He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”

This is just one of the many "staying faithful in hard times" stories in the Bible. In this life, we experience hard times, and we wonder, "Why is God putting me through this?" It's not God putting you through whatever you're going through, it's Satan, but God does allow it to happen. Why does God allow it to happen? Sometimes it's because our faith needs testing, or it's because we aren't doing what God asks, (like Jonah). We need to stay faithful, no matter what comes our way. I was reading Isaiah a couple of days ago and what Isaiah 57:1 said shocked me: "The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil." Wow! That really stuck out to me! When we lose someone, we often ask God why, maybe to spare them from evil. That's all I have for y'all today, and don't forget to listen to my podcast of this, where I will be joined by Caleb Kitchen to speak more about this subject!
